Self Watering Container

Hi all...First post coming at you.

First off thanks so much to all of you for the ideas and help I have found on this site.

Thought I would return the favor. I have just completed building my first self watering container. I pretty much followed the plan on the josho site. I used 18 gallon Rubbermaid containers. After I finished I looked at the top I had cut off of 1 container to make the base and saw that I could nest it right back in the whole container. By doing this I added back about two inches of height. This will let me add more potting mixture. Therefore more room for roots. It does not go down far enough to interfere with anything. Will find out when I fill it if there is a problem but it sure looks like it will work.

Hope I was clear with what I am trying to say. Thanks again to all of you for your help...Topper
