Your flowers are very pretty.

I have been trying to find the form of hollyhock like yours, but all the garden center had were the doubles, and when it rains they look like wet tissues.

Do you raise them from seed or do you buy the plant?

Jane, I bought the plant from Lavender Mtn. Hardware in the Rome, Ga. area. It was labeled "Summer Carnival Mix". This particular one is a semi-double bloom. I think seeds are available for it on-line and I hope to save some seeds this summer too.

Clever idea for a planter. Like the Hollyhock very much. I have always liked the singles better then the doubles when it comes to Hollyhocks. Your leaves look so much better then when I grew them. Every bug in the world liked to munch on the leaves. Good job on both.
