I'm not sure of the differences between bush type vines and plain vines.

I think there must be some differences, but as far as I know all Morning Glories are vines

Convolvulus tricolor will not become bushy in small containers and rather become leggy, so pinch them for a fuller plant. Frequent watering and less sunlight also make them leggy..
