Thank you! It was a tremendous amount of work for us. We do all of our own landscaping and I am not a professional. Just go by trial and error. The design is my own idea using two different colors of rock and incorporating cap rocks as well.

The chartreuse color plants? Those are bromeliads. They come in 100's of different colors and varieties for full sun and shade.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the info! You guys did a very good job! I'm just now, learning how much work goes into landscape design. We just started on our yard as a summer project....Umm yea, talk about blood sweat and tears!! LOL! I wouldn't have it any other way, because in the end i can admire my lovely home and know we put all that love into it. Makes it much more exciting :) Cant wait for it to start coming together.

Absolutely perfect! I want my landscaper to recreate this exactly but he keeps recommending more flowered plants that I don't care for. Can you name the plants you used?

I used bromeliads, Orange Bird of Paradise, and Walking Iris as the main plants. They were all for full sun however because my home faces east and gets strong sun in the morning and afternoon.

    Good luck.

    Hello lanapinto,

Do you mean the landscape plans? I do my own landscaping so I don't have any plans. All in the imagination :)

    Thank you!

Could I ask what you had beneath the rocks? Did you use weed fabric or else? Our goal is to prevent weed yet still allow future planting of flowers or plants. We are thinking of laying mulch, then rocks, have you considered or seen that done? Thank you.
