My first thought is that any bench beside the substantial cabinet will look odd. Can a longer bench go on the opposite wall? (Probably the walkway is not wide enough.) Or could the cabinet go elsewhere and a console table with an ottoman underneath be used instead? A photo looking toward the entry door would help us.

The cabinet is too short for the wall and adding that low bench makes it look out of proportion.

I would center the cabinet on the wall and art above it that is 38-42" wide. Nothing on either side of cabinet

Can you show pics of the entrance from all angles please?

Select a longer table/cabinet no taller than 32" high. You can slide the bench under the table. The bench can have a hinge if you need to store shoes.

Celery has given you a great starting point. I had doubts also about a bench nest to the large chest but their solution seems to work rather well. I don't usually like mirrors as part of the decor but since this is an entryway (and am assuming that you also leave your house this way) having a mirror makes sense.

Celery's idea is very nice with the new bench, mirror, wall decor and rug. Love it!

In addition to receiving advice, maybe look on line for ideas.

Proportions are key and with the narrow width/short length of the table on a large wall, suggest taping out mirror shapes and sizes. That decision will be the jumping off point style and accessory wise. Consider sconces for balance/low lighting and even a rug. Don’t suggest a bench and be sure to create a connection to the living room.

On the left, I’d swap the small ottoman for a slim upholstered bench in a neutral color to balance the cabinet and create a more cohesive look. You could also add a vase with greenery and a few decorative pieces on top of the cabinet to keep the space warm and inviting without making it feel cluttered.

Centering the cabinet on that long wall would help it feel more intentional, and a mirror about two-thirds its width would keep the proportions balanced without overwhelming the space. A slim bench in a light neutral fabric could soften the dark cabinet and give you a practical spot to sit while keeping the entry open. Keeping the top styled simply, with just a small tray and a plant, would also help the entry feel welcoming rather than crowded.

I agree with centering the cabinet on that long wall, since that is what made our own entry finally feel settled instead of lopsided. A mirror about two-thirds the width of the cabinet worked well for us too, and I would keep the bench slim so it does not crowd the walkway.

Get a mirror that's at least 40 to 48 inches wide. Anything smaller will look tiny above a 57-inch cabinet. Hang it so the bottom is 6 to 8 inches above the cabinet.
