While these can flower just about anywhere from fresh bulbs, there is no good reason NOT to plant it outside now. Or when you tire of it or the flowers fade indoors. Perfectly cold hardy - just needs well-drained soil in sun to part shade.

In fact, holding the bulb to plant next year will just result in its deterioration - best in the ground.

If you have heavy soil, take care when filling the planting hole. For some reason when I plant these AFTER bloom they struggle to reach the surface the next spring, so I try to use light topsoil when filling the hole back in to make it easier for the sprouts.
Maybe it's not the soil, but just thought I'd mention it....

... btw, you would only have been bad if there were other varieties available and you didn't pick one of those up too :)
