I have a stuckup sunflower!!

Tonight I noticed one of the sunflowers in my bunch is facing it's flower straight up to the sky! I've grown alot of sunflowers, but never seen one do that! It's about 6.5 feet tall. I'd post a pic of it if I had my main computer back from the shop. Should be here in a day or so. I leaned the flower head over and to my surprise about 6 or 7 bees were crouched around the edge, with their heads buried. I got a pic of those too. It was just funny looking.

I let most volulnteer sunflowers in my big gardens grow where they come up. Sometimes they are in the way,and too many of them, but how can you not smile when you look at a sunflower :D

I think one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life were the fields of sunflowers in Kansas. MUCH better than the boring fields of corn here.

Can't remember exactly where, I think it's on the I90 crossing from PA into Ohio, a wonderful display of sunflowers! I always picture faces on them. Makes me smile to think of your one looking straight up at the sky :)

What I wouldn't give to have that much space to garden.
Looks like the bees are having a meeting at a very beautiful table!

Sunshine, what a wonderful, peaceful-looking place you have! I love the picture with the bees as well! What kind of Clematis is that with the great seedheads pictured with the birdhouse?
