Looks like bind weed to me.....a wild MG and a major MAJOR bad news weed.

It is not field bindweed. Bindweed has elongated arrowhead type leaves, not lobed like yours. There are ornamental morning glories with leaves like yours. There might be weeds too. I don't know.

Sometime ago I read a statement which in essence said: "A rose is a weed if you didn't plant it". I use this as a rule in my garden.

It is definitely not bindweed. I agree with Remy that it is most likely an ornamental morning glory. It looks like some of my more expensive ones.

I planted a few different varieties of morning glory seeds this year, but noticed several of them didn't sprout, so I'm wondering if one might have gotten carried away & it was the only one of that kind that made it. I haven't seen any of the "double" ones yet, so maybe this is one of those. One can hope, I guess. I have left it go, just to see what it looks like. I just noticed today that there is a light blue variety blooming & I didn't plant any, according to my seed packets from the store. If anything, it was supposed to be white with pink streaks.
