Tempted by "Vancouver Dining," but have to go with that vineyard view.

They all look GREAT !!! I really like the double height space especially the project on Ottawa Ave.

I can not get past looking at the fabulous view with the bifold doors... have to go with Greata Ranch. Love the simplicity and connection to nature.

I am in love with the beauty of the view Greata Ranch but not liking the picnic type table and bench at all . So I picked the 2nd one wood Love the table and chairs as well as the rest of the room that we can see. I am sure there is a beautiful view here but its all focused on the furnishings I guess. Several of them have fab. views but this one caught my eye right away.

Can I have Vancouver Dining for the spring and summer, then change to Woodvalley Residence for the fall and winter? Knowing Vancouver with all the rain...I'm going with Woodvalley. I love the furnishings, art, flooring, and the welcoming fireplace!

It's nice to have a pleasant view while dining and both Greata Ranch and Vancouver Dining have "pleasant" in spades.

I choose Greata Ranch. Don't care for the furnishings, but with a view like that, I would sit to eat on the floor.

Greata has the view, but those benches would have my back aching before dinner was done! Have to go with Woodvalley for comfort and ambiance. Agree with Diann--there must be a to-die-for view for such a lovely room.

Definitely Greata Ranch I'd just grab the two comfy chairs from the living room and sit back and enjoy that view.

It's really difficult to vote this time..... the only one it's not my taste is the whistler...but waoooo..it's difficult to decide between the rest of them...

There's no denying the natural beauty of the view at Great Ranch, but the furniture and decor fall flat. Very commercial looking. There are tables out there in this vein that have more of an organic look, and that would have bought it a home run, however as we are judging on decor the hands down winner is Woodvalley. That designer nailed it.

Greata has my vote!! I don't mind to be seated in a bench while enjoying the meal, family or friends and the great view...

Greata Ranch gets my vote, the view is incredible the space so clean and open. But like others have stated I to would prefer the table and chairs from Ottawa or Woodvalley.

Greata Ranch gets my vote because of the doors that open onto that amazing view!

Wish I could of voted for two....Vancouver Dining a very close second for me! Both are beautiful!

Great view but not a fan of the benches

Woodvalley got my vote for the wonderful space, gorgeous table and the comfortable chairs. When it comes to dining, it's all about comfort, conversation, food and atmosphere. I can so imagine the fireplace on with music playing on a great sound system, lots of chatter and a wonderful ambience. I so agree with others that while Greata Ranch has a view to die for, there is no way I could sit for long at that table.

Greata Ranch and Vancouver Dining. I do love a bit of a view while chowing down.

The Vancouver dining room gets my vote. Beautiful view, lovely design just pour the wine and serve a piping hot chicken pot pie in the winter and a pasta salad in the summer. I imagine we could sit for hours enjoying food, drink and conversation. The Greata was also nice...but I can't sit that long on picnic benches :).

That view and the simple, inviting design of the space get my vote.

Well of course the vineyard view is unbeatable but the benches don't look comfortable. The table in #2 hurts my toes just to look at. My favorite feeling was the Ottawa ave, well designed.

The table is OK but bench seats I don't think are very comfortable... But the view wins it... now if it just had a fire pit table on the deck it would be perfect

Definitely the first one with a view like that , who is going to notice the dining room anyway? Thus, it has an unfair advantage over a few of the others without the view. However, The fourth one I love ( if no view ) it is warm, inviting and cozy. I would change some of the decor though. The third one would be a practical choice as if football is on, you can count on my boys and hubby on taking their meals over to the TV. At least, they will still be in the same room haha. All lovely rooms really, each displaying great work.

With the spectacular vineyard view, the minimalist dining room furniture is the perfect balance. Very peaceful.

While Greata Ranch looks great - I'm not a fan of being seated at a bench for meals so my vote goes to the Capital Hill for its understated elegance

I voted for Greata Ranch, the view is amazing and the lines of the furniture are clean and doesn't 'fight' for attention with the view. However, at night, without the view, it's a boring room with an uncomfortable bench (I need chair pads for my bum!). When the sun has set, Woodvalley will get my vote. The crackling of wood at the fireplace will get me in a good mood for dinner and wine!

This is not in Vancouver. It's in Kelowna, 235 miles away. How is it considered a "Vancouver dining room"?

Paulette Riley is correct. Greata Ranch in located near Peachland ( several hours from Vancouver) in the beautiful Okanagan valley. The view over Lake Okanagan is indeed spectacular so Greata Ranch dining room gets my vote!!

@Emily Hurley, actually Debbie Evans is based in West Vancouver and Dawna Jones is based in Gibsons. What if any of these designers did work in Europe? Would you include photos of that under the heading "7 Vancouver dining rooms"?

Almost a given the Greata Ranch will win hands-down. What a sublime view and a wonder picture to wake up to each morning - very jealous!

Wow! I agree the view from the Greata dining table is sublime. However you will need it not to notice the hurt from the benches. My vote is the Whistler dining room. Sorry the morose gray doesn't do it for me. I find that room supremely depressing! My second would be Vancouver and the third, Arbutous.

There should have been a room included from Seatte, WA. It's only 119 miles away from Vancouver.

Wow, Paulette, you certainly know your geography. But this isn't a real contest with prizes and strict qualifications, and "Vancouver" is just a loose descriptive to organize a fun poll. So let's just relax and imagine we are eating beautiful meals.

Or relax and "imagine" there's a vineyard on Robson Street (oh, that's in Vancouver). Sorry, makes no sense to me. If you're going to call a fun poll "7 Vancouver dining rooms" there certainly wouldn't be a lack of beautiful homes to include which are actually located in Vancouver. If I'm going to relax and imagine I'm eating beautiful meals it will be in an imaginary Provence.

Our firm would like to thank the houzz team for their continued polls and interesting discussion topics, and the houzz community for their spirited comments on these discussion boards. While like in life nothing is perfect, the houzz team, I am sure strives to be as accurate in their regional categorization as the classification system allows and that their focus is on featuring design, not in the minutiae of whether you can see Robson street from the angle in the photograph. True, design is and should be location and region specific, and houzz could have called this fun poll by any name. This one may have been misnamed, but it doesn't change the focus of the poll. Dining rooms.

They're all lovely, but my dream spot would be number one. Looks so relaxing and inviting. Could stay there for hours with friends enjoying dinner.

Greata Ranch is in the Okanagan Valley which is NOT in Vancouver...just in case people are looking for hills and vineyards in Vancouver...you won't find them. I grew up with a view like that and now I live in Vancouver...I voted for Vancouver Dining...I'm a HUGE fan of West Coast Modern.
