Sweet Potato Vine Problems

I have a sweet potato vine planted in a container on my shady porch. It has been growing well and looked fine (deep purple). Over the course of the last week, the leafs developed brown spots and then dried out to the point of basically desintigrating. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

My purple sweet potato vine has done exactly the same. The chartreuse sweet potato vine and burgundy salvia in the same pot are doing fine. It has been very dry here and they are in pretty much full sun. I probably should have been more diligent in my watering. Live and learn...

It sounds like lack of water to me. By now, they need lots of water every day.

Thanks. The soil always seemed moist. I'll keep it soaked from here on out.
