I've never seen hummers in my impatiens but they spend plenty of time enjoying my hanging baskets of lantana. And the color doesn't seem to matter much. They love the yellow, pink and red varieties.

Red petunias....and humming bird feeders.

I have had great success this year with calibrachoa, torenia, nicotiana, and salvia black and blue as well as petunias. My hummers seem to love them all.

Yes they do like impatiens but especially the wild jewelweed. They spent a lot of time on the fuchsia I have on my front step (Gartenmeister Bonstede). They were also working over the perennial phlox and the rubrum lilies. We had a drought up here and they were mobbing my feeders - most unusual with the ruby-throated who generally drive off any other of their kind but I had four of them feeding at once.

i love hummingbirds too....we only had two last summer.....although i had a feast of flowers waiting for them......they love my red cannas...zinnias.....vincas..impatiens..tithonias..just to name a few ......have a great summer........
