It's a fancy pelargonium cultivar, definitely an annual in our zone.

I forgot to mention, bring it indoors over the winter. Locate in a sunny window, on the cool side, no furnace hot air blowing on it, water just enough to keep it alive, no fertilizer and let it sleep till next spring.

the variegation on that is exactly like a Mrs. Pollack brocade geranium. I grow Wilhelm Languth and also Mrs. Pollack both similar. But, I've never seen the leaves on either of them so tight or frilly..........or tiny. It's quite darling.

Thank your Sharon and Calliope and Dee, I hope you can see why I bought this plant. It was late in the day and no-one but the owner was around and it was so unusual I couldn't help touching it. It looked like marble. When I asked what it was - no labels of course - he did not know but felt it was a pelargonium. When I sniffed my hands, I knew it was. I have brought it in and am thinking of spraying it with soapy water because several years ago I brought in one of its cousins, and by February I had a horrible sticky, slimy mess on my side table, and I had to throw it out. I think I will cover it loosely with a plastic bag for a while also. I will keep your information for accurate ID later - right now I am in the midst of computer hardware problems. Thanks again.
