Unless you are talking about Catharanthus roseus, which everyone CALLS Vinca. It's not a vine. It's not Vinca, either, lol. Judging by the color of the flowers in your image, I'm going to 'guess' that you might be talking about the Catharanthus.

Impatiens, like ken says, is your pretty flower. Loves a fairly shady location outside. Catharanthus can take more light.

Another thing that often happens is that people think Impatiens is a plural, hence 1 'Impatien' or even 'Impatient'. It's not. We call them Busy Lizzies over here. Do you?

Thanks all. I was indeed thinking about Cathranthus roseus (which I knew as common vinca), so my question was whether the flower was Cathranthus roseus.

But it is good to know that it is an Impatiens, and flora_uk, I used it to pronounce it as impatient until I heard someone pronounce it correctly. :-)

Old timers here still call them busy lizzies. A lot of common English phrases and spelling were mainstream in America until second third of the 1900s. They are lost on our present generation. LOL
