Salpiglossis ( painted tongue)

I bought my first painted tongue in the spring, and trimmed off the dead parts through the summer to encourage more blooms. I noticed new growth coming from the base of the plant. Is it possible it will make it through the winter and bloom more next spring? We seldom get frost, and it is in a pot that can be brought indoors if we do get frost.

Salpiglossis is an annual and will not live another season. You have done well to keep it going this long. They are glorious in a mass planting, but I have never found them in sixpacs or liners. You can start from seeds but not easy to transplant into the garden, they don't like root disturbance. One year I got a tray of plugs which worked well, but I had 144 plugs, great mass planting. Al
