Nice layout. What are you putting in the open area by the stairs? That looks like a large empty entryway. In the kitchen you might want to ad a pantry. And use a square or round coffee table in your living room.

I like your Entry Foyer. It's a nicely defined space which allows your guests to entry your home without immediately being in the center of the converstation of other guests in the Living Room. I would provide a table alongside one of the Foyer walls.

I would change the Kitchen island to a peninsula. Your island creates too much wasted space with the narrow openings on each side. It looks like 2'-0". Way too small.

I never liked sinks in island or the seating part of a peninsula. Moving the refrigerator is a good move.

Why would you not consider pocket doors or swinging french doors between the Dining and Family Room instead of pocket doors between the Kitchen and Family Room. You would be able to utilize more wall space in the Kitchen. If there aren't any windows in the Kitchen, I would create an opening above the Kitchen counter between the Kitchen and Family Room.

I think you might be able to fit a small powder room in this floor plan.
