This trade is not for the faint of heart! I just dug enough ajuga reptans (bugleweed) to nearly fill a flat rate box. This groundcover has a lovely blue flower in the spring but let's face it...it's a member of the mint family. Mint is another way to spell "i-n-v-a-s-i-v-e."

That said--if you want the stuff, this is your opportunity! I might even be able to fit in some chocolate mint and a sprig or two of lavender obedient plant! Whoo-hoo, invasives! (Keep small children out of the path of these plants--you've been warned).

My ajuga is the basic sort (some leaves a purplish color and others are green--normal sized, not the small leaves). This spreads by runners that will take root.
