Container Gardening

This is it's second year. It's more than twice the size it was last year. The container I made out of wood is a 24" cube. That's a large container. The soil is Al's mix of course! :) filix.

Now, Filix, don't let me find you on this forum over the winter asking us for advice on growing EE! Instead maybe you should share your secrets as I can honestly say I have never had an EE get that large before.

The two people that have helped me the most. Thanks.:) That's one seasons growth. From around may 1st to the present, and it's still going strong. Hope jack frost holds off for a while. What helped "beside the mix" was bringing the root mass down in the basement and keeping it alive with very little water. Then in the spring planting that instead of another bulb. A large wood container for the masive roots. I will have to build a larger container for it next year. My oil man came the other day. He asked me if it was real! filix
