We went to the feed store to buy chicken food. They had this really cool planter loaded with cool plants out front. Below it was two trays of dead plants. I told the cashier how bad it looked together and asked her if I could have the trays and the 4 packs full of nice vermiculite (expensive stuff!!)She said yes! Hooray! There were at least 12 little marigold seedlings and lots of dead flower heads full of seeds. I watered the poor babies when I got home and they perked up almost immediately. Just goes to show that if you ask for it you might get it for nothing!
