What can you all tell me about callery pear as a rootstock for European and for Asian pears? They grow wild all over my farm, so just this past year I started grafting edible pears onto them -- it seems like a really easy way to get a tree going, especially in places where I don't have access to running water for irrigation -- and I'm planning on grafting a lot more this spring. Anything I should know? And while I'm on the subject, anyone want share/trade any Kosui scionwood with me or any other favorite fireblight resistant varieties?
Thanks!
Eric
