Simi Valley, CA area? There are some nurseries in and around Camarillo area. I remember once I was helping a friend pick up a southern magnolia and the nursery lady took us a nursery that wasn't open to the public but supplied the nurseries in the area. I'm not sure if they had Karp's quince but I just remember they had superb trees. Might want to try those nurseries in the Camarillo area.

Quone, I'm pretty sure nobody else is selling that one. If you can graft you may be able to get scions from Edgar, but I doubt he has any trees for sale or anything. I forked over the $$ to Raintree and have it growing but its too young to have fruited. I have heard it is supposed to be a step up for fresh eating compared to other quinces so it does sound worth trying in places with enough heat. Edgars website is below.

Here's a bonus picture of my Passe Crassane, believed to actually be a quince-pear hybrid, although it takes more after a pear, a very firm pear, but it's supposed to have delicious flavor:

Something I seemed to notice, I may be mistaken, the scent of the blossoms almost seems to smell softer and a little more like apple blossoms than the blossoms I remember smelling on an Orange quince a year ago.

The blossoms on the Orange quince only had a very weak subtle smell but the scent was like sweet peas, violets and jasmine. The Karp's Sweet flowers seem to have much less of the pungent fragrance note aspect, sweeter and more plain. Just a subtle observation, I don't know if this has any relevance.

Apparently (at least for me) Karp's Sweet does behave deciduously, even in climate zone 10, but not absolutely entirely since there were 3 green leaves (albeit a little brown) left on it throughout the winter. I remember having read comments from someone else that Karp's Sweet didn't go into dormancy in the winter, because the variety originated from the Majes valley in Peru.
