Mutant Hosta?!

I bought this very strange looking hosta recently.

It might be a mutant. It is very tall with narrow leaves.

The most interesting thing is that it has a flower that grows out of the base of EACH leaf, instead of growing out of a central flowering stalk.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I did a little research on your mutant hosta and found a couple of pictures you might want to look over.

Sometimes hostas are classified as plantain lilies - and after a search I found a couple that had similar leaf stalks to yours... Maybe this information will lead you in the right direction.

They are one in the same. I have seen hostas that do that, but they usually start out with normal leaves from the bottom, then shoot up, I'm not sure why.
