OoEee, I LIKE purple! Which Clematis is it...'Jackmanii'?

Yes Rosemarie, it's Jackmanii (I THINK!). I've planted 3 different clemati there, all blooming at different times, some of them re-blooming, one with wilt, and I'm not real sure of any of their names. ha Thanks for responding.

Very beautiful plantings, but I have to say that there's just something I LOVE about a shade dappled lawn. :-)

Thank you, Flowergirl. We're surrounded by woods and a creek, and it's nice, get a lot of shade which I'm thankful for this week in the extreme heat. But in fall/winter, we're also buried in acorns and oak leaves!! Acorns are falling already, crunching on the driveway and making an awful mess.

BTW, we moved here to GA from VA and have missed it ever since though we've lived here longer. Will always have a fond spot in our hearts for Virgina. Thanks for responding.

I have a soft spot for Virginia, too! LOL (Although with the heat wave we're enduring right now, I wouldn't mind taking a vacation somewhere cooler.)
