Butterfly feeding on Golden Rod

This afternoon I found this Meadow Brown butterfly feeding. I took photos and then approached closer and closer. The picture is not cropped. I think I could almost have touched it with the lens, it was so intent on feeding. How I wish other butterflies were so accomodating.
