Adult Adenoid Care?

My husband has suffered from chronic sinus mucus his whole life. Blowing his nose and coughing up phlegm every half hour or so. More frequently if he is sick. I'm using everything I know of to address the issue nutritionally - just in case it is a gut problem. He has responded positively in other ways, but the mucus is still present and abundant. My next ideas are to address the mucus with herbs, natural remedies and possibly a homeopathic remedy. So my question is: Any experience or insight? Is this even an Adenoid problem? Other ideas? (We have a ND, but she is pretty expensive and isn't covered by insurance).

Does your insurance cover a visit to an ENT and/or allergist?

Possibly... After some more web searching and a saliva test, we are beginning to suspect it is caused by candida.

Do get the problem checked out by a competent practitioner. Then you can decide on what alternative/complementary remedies are worth trying.

The vast majority of the time, the fungi and molds that are common in our environment do not cause medical problems in otherwise healthy people. There is such a thing as fungal sinusitis (caused by fungi/molds other than Candida) which can cause excess mucus production and other symptoms. Over the counter remedies are extremely unlikely to be effective for this problem.
