Avacdo Tree and Mango Tree

Hey everyone I currently have 1 avocado tree and a mango tree. My friends have told me, since I grew both from seed, they will never produce fruit. is this true? If not, how can I help them along to growing well? The avocado is 3 years old, and the mango tree is about 2 weeks old (just germinated).

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

If you get fruit, it may take years and years, and it will not be the same, necessarily, as the fruit from which the seed/pit was obtained. Both of these fruit trees are almost always grafted trees: a rootstock that is different than the grafted scionwood that produces the top part of your tree and produces the specific fruit you've eaten.

Ok, any suggestions as to how to fertilize them, or prune (if nessicary)?
