What to do with mango trunk vertical crack

Due to Southern California sudden weather changes, inconsistent watering and sudden application of fertilizer all together resulted in this big cracked along my mango tree trunk. i don know what to do now. should i paint the crack with protective paint like IV Organics or put a tree wound sealer or live it alone?
