The rocks are easy; find a creek and collect them yourself. Clean the rocks thoroughly with diluted bleach before installing. This will make your piece that much more personal. I'm doing this for a custom shower floor.

Is this kind of counter top expensive and hard to do??? This would look awesome w/ my burnt orange vessel sinks for my surfer decor bathroom.

The look is unique but the construction should be simple.

It looks like a cavity was created in the top of the cabinet boxes. Install lighting strips along the edge. Place your rocks. Tempered glass for a surface. You would want support under the vessels so that their weight is not bearing on the glass.

If you are not comfortable doing this yourself then I would suggest finding a local general contractor or cabinet maker. Many variables could affect cost.

That would depend on what kind of lights are used. LED strips would work well and they last a really long time.
