Seed boxes are ready to go!

I have made up a seed storage box/filing system as gifts for my gardening buddies. One of them suggested that I try to market them and I thought that was a great idea. So I spoke to a friend of mine who runs a large nursery here and she said she would be happy to put them in her store and see how they sell. Here are the four boxes I have made up...

These pics are of a gift box I made for a friend of mine. It has different dividers in it but you will have the basic idea of what I am making up.

That second pic of the two envelopes... the one that is filled out is the one I gave with each box... real seeds from my garden! I included a nice letter with each box to explain how to use the box, how to dry the seeds, etc.

I am hoping to sell them for $25 Cdn... hope I can make that based on the time and supply costs I will just be making a little wee bit of profit! But it is for fellow gardeners and I don't mind making a little less if it goes to a fellow gardener's home! lol

What a GREAT idea. For anyone who is really into gardening it would make a fabulous gift - good luck with selling them, and have a great holiday. That goes for everyone else too.

It's a garden in a box! Love it! Store at the mall has some beautiful boxes like those with old fashion flowers and antique looking patterns on them. I love boxes anyway. I have a thing for them. Having all your seeds for the coming spring is really a nice touch.

LOL I love it, Marly! You never cease to amaze.

I suspect this would sell well in bedroom communities outside of big cities where Type-A people turn to gardening to relieve stress. They're the ones that would appreciate both a systematic approach to planting and your artistry. Also, they wouldn't mind paying a bit to get started.

How goes the seed box sales? I was rooting through my seed collection the other day and your storage boxes came to mind - my organizational skills are abysmal.
There are people like me who could really use some help! (This is embarrassing!) :)

Awwwww Poor GardenChicken! I had MUCH the same dilemma before I made my storage boxes. There is hope for you yet! (HUGS)

Hi Marly, Great boxes, so pretty!! I have been keeping all my seeds in huge black garbage bags, then went to 55 gallon plastic containers and gallon zip lock bags!!!! E-gads, I still do not have everything organized :( I would love to try and fill a few of your sz boxes tho :) I hope they sell like hotcakes for you :)
