Mike, That's nice but I prefer your all wood stands. Looks like you've been busy. The bowl planter on that locust and slate stand really looks nice. Billie

Thanks- I like the wooden bases too, wanted to try something new. Did a landscape design (what I do most) and found a way to include a trough in the garden.
Did another tufa workshop. It went well. Been using the Pam Spray with great sucess.Thanks. Also did the one day class using low bowl mold , with tufa on inside of mold. It was easy and only took about 1 1/2 hrs.

Mike, It is so easy using the plastic bowls and molding on the inside for classes. This is so much easier for the people to transport home. That's about how long it takes me to teach a class from start to finish.
That bowl planter on the locust and slate would be great for miniature landscapes. Have you tried any of those? There's a great bonsai place in Ringoes New Jersey where I buy starters. I mound the soil up into a "hill" above the rim of the bowl and just on one side. I plant a tree (bonsai starter) on the top of the "hill" then depending on the size of the bowl, plant dwarf shrubs and sedums. If it's a shade loving variety, I plant moss. Almost forgot, I embed rocks of different sizes to mimic a hillside.
