you might find this Amazon page interesting. I've been thinking about making something fairly huge, using the 'ferro-cement boat' techniques, and went searching online for info. Sculpting With Cement by Lynn Olson seemed to be the book recommended by just about everyone, went to Amazon to order it and, as usual, they dangle other irresistable goodies in front of your eyes lol. Lordy me, I'm such a sucker! Also bought The Prop Builder's Molding & Casting Handbook. They'll take about three months to arrive, but what the heck. At least I have them to look forward to.

So...if you go to the Amazon.com site, search for Sculpting With Cement, Amazon will give you a list of lots of other cement-related books as well :o)

I'm surprised the Amazon UK site didn't list these. I've ordered from the UK site and it didn't take too long to arrive on my side of the pond. I hope the books "feed your need", I'm a bookaholic myself.

nmgirl - they had the Lynn Olsen book OK, but it was going to be coming from Amazon America anyway, plus it was going to cost Â£74.48 plus P&P, instead of $30 plus P&P. The two books I ordered from Amazon America came to $56.46 inc. P&P.

That's an almighty difference. I'm not going to buy from Amazon UK in the future without checking on Amazon America first.

Â£74.48 = Â107.44 (plus P&P on top) for just one book from Amazon UK

$56.46 = Â46.40 (inc. P&P) for two books from Amazon America

Ouch! Instead of two books for the price of one, they sell one book for the price of two. Such a deal. : )

I've got the Prop Builders Handbook and courtesy of Billie,I've been reading the Sherrie Warner book as well.Both have interesting info in them,the prop builders has a whole chapter on making a mold making machine.That keen I am not!!

Further to what I said...
Go to fiber-tek.com for books and materials.They're located in Burnaby,BC and they were originally referred to me by someone in the Eastern U.S.!Perhaps you wouldn't have to wait 3 months(!!!) for books to arrive.
