overwintering hypertufa troughs

Hello! I'm going to try to make a hypertufa trough this spring, and this site is really helpful with all of my questions. The one question I have is: I live in zone 3-4, can I keep my hypertufa trough outside all winter(filled with soil), should I remove the soil and turn over the trough, or just bring the trough inside so it doesn't crack with my really cold weather? Getting creative with hypertufa could be the thing I need from going crazy with spring fever. Thanks! Valree

After reading the thread Another color technique, it says that after proper curing hypertufa is freeze proof, no matter how cold it gets. I think that proper curing is to keep moist for up to 2 weeks, but you may want to research that further to make sure it's right. Read the thread " Another color technique" it's got a link to a lot of advise.
