Recycling tufa that didn't set...?

So I went ahead and started my third tufa project two days ago and once I got to mixing I realized that I didnt really have the right amount of cement necessary for the standard 1:3 recipe. Unfazed I decided to go ahead with my project anyways (I figured that I may end up with a slightly darker tufa than my previous projects b/c of the higher levels of peat). Well, on one hand I was correct because the tufa is a lot darker, but it also failed to set. I went out today after about 36 hours of curing time and during my scratch test realized that my tufa was in fact going to be a crumbly mess. The good news is that i was successful at crumbling the entire tufa back into tiny pieces of peat, sand, verm, and perlite. I was wondering if I went out and bought more portland cement could I reuse my crumbled material? If so, do i completely disregard the cement previously added to the mix (since it is basically inert at this point)? Thanks so much everyone (sorry to be so long winded...whew...)
