Yes, do an experimental piece and be sure to leave it out in the weather. I had read on a professional concrete flooring site that the blue/greens have a strong tendency to 'grow' large black spots, due to moisture contamination, even when sealed. They said it was okay when used indoors, but if exposed to water... oh-oh!

Salt might interfere with the integrity of the cement. I know that newly poured sidewalks and driveways should not be salted until after a year or so.

Let us know how this experiment works out. A colorfast blue is really hard to get. Chromium oxide makes a pretty reliable green, though.
