Hypertufa water trough

Hi all

I'm a total beginner at tufa. I'm building a water fountain with concrete leaf castings, and I'd like to make a hypertufa reservoir/base. What do you experts recommend for a mixture, and what type of sealer should I use? Or do you think I should line it with concrete to make it watertight? Any suggestions?
