Hypertufa adhering to plastic?

HI, this is my first time posting here but since I found your site I have spent hours reading loads of posts; what wonderful projects so many have done, I am in awe!!

My only attempts were to cover polystyrene fish boxes to make troughs. They did work out well.

I have a couple of horrid white plastic chairs and wonder if I could give them a hypertufa coat? I have used Polybond to paint the articles I have done prior to hypertufing them. Do you think this would do the trick with the chairs or have you any other ideas? I will be most grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.
