Many times the pieces come out with a shine. Sometimes it's the mold, sometimes it's how it cured or using too much fortifier can also give a plastic, shiny look. If you use a piece of scotchbrite to rough up the surface the shine disappears or if you wire brush. If the shine isn't from too much fortifier, it will just go away in time. The only way to remove the fortifier shine is by sanding, filing or wire brushing. Billie
