OT, but is it just me? or is...

Is it just me or is there a wide blank space on the right hand side of the GW pages? Seems like it isn't centered or the right margin is too wide or something. If it is just my screen, can someone let me know? Otherwise, is there someone we can let know about this?

My screen is okay, but there is an add for W hotels in New York that is about 2 inches wide on the right.

I have white as well.

It seems when they add the iVillage banner to the page everything gets sucked left when they set the display resolution.
If you check the other iVillage forums that don't yet have the iVillage banner they are still full screen.

I have ads - but I havn't joined yet. Nor was I smart enough to set up on a no pop-up browser like mozilla.

LOL... thanks for the responses folks! I just became a paying member and I guess that blank space used to be filled with ads. When I view this thread, the messages are stretched across the full width of the screen ... AND NO ADS!! Woo hoo! Worth the $15!! just to get rid of them there ads!

It's still squished over to the left, it's like they sized everything to fit under the new GW banner instead of sizing the banner to fit the page. Unless they sized everything for 800X600. We're all annoyed by it over on the pond forum too.
The ads are still there even though it's squished over, PLUS there's a white space. Really surprised that whoever did the redesign wasn't required to know what they were doing as far as sizing things up to view properly in different browsers.

hmmmnnn...no, I don't have it squished to one side. I joined as well, so it looks like it's just to do with space for ads down the side?

I think that's fairly reasonable, though. I have two websites hosted with Freeservers - one I pay a hosting-fee for, the other is hosted for free. So...no ads on the paid-for site, loads of ads on the free site. Web space has to cover its costs somehow.
