How to attach concrete leaf to a pipe

Hi all!

Please point in me the right direction if this topic has been covered - I did some searches but didn't come up with the answer I'm looking for.

I've been making a lot of leaves with hangers, but now I'm going to try mounting them on copper pipe. I've been looking for some kind of coupler that I can embed into the back of the leaf, and then when it's cured I can just insert a pipe into it.

Ideally the coupling would have some kind of flange that I would put wet concrete over to it in place on the back of the leaf. I haven't found anything like that so far.

Alternatively, I suppose I could just epoxy something on the back of a cured leaf, but I'd still like ideas for the type of hardware to use.

Thanks to all you creative folks!

Nancy
