I inherited two very old almond trees with a new house. They haven't been pruned in many years and have a bunch of old wood that doesn't bloom or green out. Last year they produced a couple of nuts, which all ended up dropping during the hottest part of the summer.

I've never had almonds before- any tips for pruning? Can these trees be revived?
