A CAR question for experienced please...

Greetings fellow apple tree growers. I used the search tool to look up CAR on this forum. I found a good bit of threads. I basically learned that I cannot eliminate it unless I cut all cedars w/in 5 miles or plant disease resistant varieties. And it can't be treated, only prevented.

Well, I have 16 trees, 6 of which are supposedly resistant (Old Fashioned Winesaps, Blacktwigs, Kinnaird's Choice and Aunt Rachel). However, all trees are exhibiting obvious signs of infection. What I did not find in the research I did is if CAR will kill my young trees or will I have a chance to 'prevent' it by spraying a dormant copper this winter and another spray twice next spring?

If other background info is desired, they are all one and two year old trees, mostly on dwarf bud 9 stock with 4 on semi-dwarf mm111 stock. Planted last November and all have a tremendous amount of new growth.
