The 1st 2 take special skill to make!! I love them! The 3rd is easy to make-not for me, I can't make a birdhouse!! But the average person could do it. No fancy metalwork, no panels set in framework just boards for most of it. And a wheel, could use an older wheel tho if you wanted to give it a little more antique look. Jan

I know my DH would too. He's constantly having to move things out of the way to cut the grass!! What we really need is wheels on the very heavy picnic table! LOL

No plans here! : ( Just discovered them on the web.

The first pic is an original from the turn of the century.

The one in the middle looks like it was made from an old door and other scraps.

The last one is a modern version that you can buy from a bunch of different web stores.

It will be one of those projects that you just have to design your own. I did look on wood pattern sites and never did find instructions. Doesn't mean they're not out there somewhere.

my mind went to the practical side, or rather to the impractical side...whichever..
I saw the pictures and immediately thought...

"why would someone want to move a bench around, when it's full of people sitting on it?"
"why wouldn't they just ask them to walk?"

it didn't occur to me that it was for moving just the bench!

my mind plays tricks on me, these days!!!

If I were designing one I would make the seat a garden tool box. It would store fertilizer, water jug, tools, ect. You could take your tools and a place to sit and rest to any part of your property.
