the subject line says it all. there's scale all over my spider plants. i've cut off the babies (the scale seems concentrated on the long stems attached to the mother), soaked most of them in some spray i got at the garden center, and now i'm just panicked.

tips? should i just throw the plants out and start anew? i've already lost battles to mealy bugs (goodbye jade plants) and i'm not sure i'm up to battling scale.
