Pics to share

After finally installing my digital camera on this computer, I couldn't find my pictures! Finally located them under "Shared Pictures", they were never there on my last computer :)

The yard is a mess! Much weeding to do but getting our pool installed has been our big project this year. I have pictures of my tipsey pots, old cart with wine box planters, the tea cup bird feeder my Mom made a few years ago, and more. Thanks for looking :)

I have no idea how to add a link so hopefully this will work:

Boy you all have done lots of work. I would love a truck load of those rocks.

Very lovely! I especially love your wine box planters! Great job!

Thanks for looking! Yes, TONS of work! My favorite finds were absolutely the cart (just sitting there, mine for asking, plus delivered!) and my wine boxes! Mom said she was going to plant them but never did. I am happy with my rock walls, but I am SICK of digging them up everytime I want to plant something (or dig a trench! LOL!!)

It's all a work in progress, and TOO hot to get anything done this week, so most of it is waiting. Watering is all I can handle in this heat :)

Great yard, I love that cart, that is so pretty. Wish I could find something like that. "Patriot Nation" - is that NE Patriots, are you in MA? And, I love your house, is that a Cape or a Saltbox style home?

    Hi Sal,

Yes, New England Patriots, about 30 minutes from Gillette! Our dog is named Bruschi, and I LOVE any patriotic/Americana decorations inside and out :)

Our house is actually a Colonial. My dh said he'd NEVER buy a colonial (wanted something more open) but we looked for more than 2 years and found this piece of property that happened to have a Colonial sitting on it :) We live outside for 3 seasons of the year, the house is just for our "stuff". DH actually sleeps in the gazebo in the summer as it's all screened in. TV and futon out there for him to watch the Sox :) On hot nights like this the kids usually sleep out there too.

We love the yard, as much of a mess it is right now. Everything's a work in progress! Still haven't finished the patio that was started 4 years ago, or the wall in front of the house that was my Mother's Day present in 2006. Now we have the pool to deal with (building the deck, filling in the trench still, etc.) It never ends, but I love it here!

Wow, looks like you've got alot of ambitious projects going! Everything looks great, and I love that cart!

Hello again! I was thinking and thinking after responding to craftylady earlier about the pictures I posted. I didn't think ANY showed pictures of our house. Well, after delivering and picking up my kids from various places, I went back to check. Nope, that's the garage (side of it) in a picture or two.

I will show the picture of our house once I actually get it stained completely ( going on 5 or 6 years now!), my wall finished (I think "i" will have to finish my Mother's Day gift from 2006), and my foundation plantings done. Right now, our front is supreme grass (what dh wants everywhere!) but nothing else! I lost a bunch of before pictures when our computer crashed, but still have a few.

Thanks to all for taking the time to look and comment! It's appreciated :) Lots of projects, not enough time or money! LOL!!! ( I get summers off as I'm a school photographer!) and we've been picking away for 7 years now (patio, gazebo, pool, and most of the plants & shrubs are our doing!)

Wow you have really done a lot!!!!! It looks great!! I love that cart too! That is a real beauty!!! I bet you are enjoying the pool in the heat of summer(-: I wish we had a pool it gets hot here too. Suppose to be 106 next week. Seems like once the heat hits 110 everything is done for the summer here. But I love having summers off. I work at school as a cook.(-:

Okay, I better quit complaining about the heat here... 81 tomorrow and 71 on Friday! I LOVE your scrapbook! We have a lot of rocks, and I appreciate your beautiful rock work! Did you haul in rocks or were they all on your property? Did you do all of that rock work yourself? I know it can be heavy back work but the final results (as your pictures show) is worth it. I am in awe of what you've done. INSPIRING! I love all of your photos but really like that Amish birdhouse and the cart! You said the cart was just sitting there for the asking...where? Sounds like you were at the right place at the right time! :o) Your yard is beautiful! Your pictures made my day! Kirk

What a great place! The cart is great but that gazebo...!!! I just LOVE it! And your garage looks bigger than my whole house!! I actually thought that was your house and thought it very cute! lol
I like a lot of your nick-knack thingies.... the Amish bird house, tea cup feeder. That stuff makes a garden a garden.
And too hot?? Gosh, I'm missing summer. We've been having freezing weather here... literally. Nights in the upper 20's, days in the 30's. I'm not used to this anymore! lol
You've done a great job and look forward to seeing more!

Today is supposed to be the last day of 90 plus temps here! Thunderstorms coming this afternoon and boy does my garden need that! Only 70's tomorrow, I think it will feel cold! LOL!! And yes, we are LOVING the pool this week :)

All the rocks are from our property! I "took" a few larger ones from the rock wall that surrounds our property to do the walls around the patio, but most of the others have been dug up from around the yard as we go to plant new things, digging the trench for the electrical, and now finding even more as we are digging 3 foot holes for the cement to put up the deck around the pool. I don't think I'll ever have a shortage of rocks :)

I did do all the rocks myself. The kids hauled some of them from under the deck for me, but mostly I did it all. My dh did the patio, those pavers are REALLY heavy. I have helped unload them, but he laid them :)

My dh rents an office and there are 2 owners of the building. One of them had the cart just sitting in the parking lot. I mentioned one day that I loved the cart. The second owner said I could have it and even drove it here for me :) It is REALLY heavy! I can't even move it! The wheels are now starting to sink into the ground!

My birdhouse has seen better days. Time for a new one! The squirrels chewed through one of the "windows" so now the seed all falls out if I put too much in there at once :)

I appreciate all the kiind words! This site has certainly inspired me to keep on with all my projects :) I'll be sure to share more as I get more done :)

LOVE the cobblestone steps!!! I'm trying to do the same thing in my garden. Nice job!!!

annielu, Thank you! I made the steps from cobblestone that we got from a job dh worked on (free is always good). We used them for a season around our firepit, but most of them cracked :( I started making the steps out of the rounded wall stone that was our "original" firepit, before the huge patio was put in. Once I got 2 steps done and level, my brother asked why I wasn't using the cobblestone!

So, a days work was all for nothing! I removed the other stuff and started again with the cobblestone! I really like the way it turned out, but I didn't have enough to finish my project! So, I got cobblestones from DH for Mother's Day this year and last year I got a pallet of the flat stone for the wall in front of the foundation. My DH is doing the foundation wall and it isn't done (over a year later)! I did finish my cobblestone stairs, but need to continue to add stone dust between them to be sure they are nice and tight! I add a bit more after each rain until they are all filled in.

And cait1, I do NOT miss those temps! I LOVE this weather (just looking for a tiny break) :) And thank you All for replying! This forum is just so friendly and inspirational :) The gazebo is my dh's summer home! The best money we ever spent actually! That gets almost as much use as the patio! All screened in, no bugs, shade when needed (since I think we cut down too many trees, even though we still have half an acre or more of them!)
