Agreed go with a floor lamp, the table lamp is too small for that console table. Perhaps mount a large mirror or art piece about the console table. I'd also move the chair a little bit out of the corner. I'd mount decorative drapery panels over a large rod that spans the doors. I'd also add an area rug with some color and work with those colors in your draperies.
