I'd noticed some of those, whatever they are, on some of the plants at work a while ago. I guessed seed pods too, though I haven't actually opened them up to check.

Don't open them!!
Wait until they dry, and they'll begin to release the seeds on their own.
They're much like dandelion seeds, with the 'fluff' attached.

Try sowing them, Diane....they grow real easily.

I started a few of mine from a couple years ago....they have some nice sized tubers now.....cool to know that I grew them, too!

Hi all, she discribed it perfectly like string beans, wrap them with a rubber band, because once they are open they will fly all over. Make sure the fruit is ripe before you harvest the seed. Plant in about 2 weeks, I don't know how long they keep. Norma

Hello! Pulling this thread up to ask a question... should the seed pods stay attached to the plant until they open? Or do you pull them off and let them dry and open on their own? I hope that makes sense. Thanks :)

Leave on , when they mature more... place a silk gift bag over to collect seeds when they open.

I cut a strand of my sting of hearts to propagate and was surprised to notice the cutting grew a seed pod after about a week in moss. (The mother plant didnt grow any pods and just one random strand of 6 grew a seed pod) can i harvest this for seeds? will it open?
