Mower dilema
Hello all. First post after much reading.
I currently have a 6yr old Cub Cadet SRA621. As well as a 2yr old TurfMaster (Murray) 30" rider. Looks the same as all 30"ers such as Craftsman. I purchased the small rider after birth of first child to try and speed up mowing. Only paid about $500 for it new.
Thing is I get tired of going to mow and its always something wrong. Flat tire, wont start, bad stator (fried), spuddering, etc. The CC fares a bit better, but is a bear to start after it warms up. Currently not the biggest fan of Briggs and Straton. Although I LOVE Milwaukee! CC has 6.75 I/C with oil filter. Rider just a 12.5 cheapo.
Here are options. Sell both on Craislist or this weekends rummage sale. Then use money towards a new walk behind. Sell just the rider. Figure close to $500 based off of watching others. Or fix and keep both. I wish I had the skills to swap engine in rider to a Honda.
Probably not up to spending boo-koo bucks here. Saw a TB RWD (preferred) with Honda engine (very preferred) at Lowes for $300 down from $369. I know its an MTD product, but so was my CC which I have had decent luck with aside from height adjuster and now the engine.
