My old yardman rider has spindle bearing issues. i took 1 spindle apart (fun) and see the upper/lower bearings are 1” apart. all new chinese spindles have bearings 3”-4” spacing. i obviously have used mower for 25+ yrs so it is what it is. just wondering about design.

i debated replacing spindles with new cheap cast alum style but was concened about fitment. the bearings are common. nsk 6204du?

1 bearing was intact but 2nd was bad. missing roller balls. blade rotated ”ok” but i got industrious
