g2g has the spanish right lol. Except I don't know how to say cardinal in spanish, might be cardenal, but that might be the religious figure. Cuervo is spanish for crow. that's the only C bird I know en espanol.
I have a silly idea, you know how people name their houses after what they find beautiful or pleasing. Well what is beautiful and pleasing to a bird?

I found this while looking for names for my birdhouses. I named one of mine "Velvet Bees" from it. I always have it on the table when I have my birdhouses out for sale and people enjoy it. Good luck andhave fun with your name(s)!

On Naming a House

I had one that was named "The Dew Drop Inn" and how about one with a tin roof, "The Wren Tin Inn" or "Nest-Inn" I am stuck on "Inn", I'll try to think of more later.

Okie deb - In Okla. it is 'tarred and feathered' isn't it?? When we moved from Okla to WA state our 18 mo. old next door neighbor played daily with our 2 yr. old. One morning the little neighbor got up and said, "Mommy, I'm tarred." Her mother, correcting her, said, "No, you're TIRED". The little girl said, "Yup, I'm tarred". hee heee

Laura you are right! I didn't know if the ladies in the forum who haven't been around a southern accent would get it as tarred meaning tired though.
I was born in Louisiana and have also lived in AR. so between those places and being in OK. no way around me havin a southern accent!

I do like "Tarred and Feathered" he-he Reminds me of that old Shake N Bake commercial where the little girl tells her family that she "hep'd" her mom make supper.

Joega, if I remember correctly, you have someone serving our country. I painted a birdhouse in a camoflauge pattern and wrote above the opening, 'Birdie Barracks'.

I did it for my grandson, who at the time was in Iraq. Sent him a pic and since then have done 7 more for friends of his. They loved it.

It might be copyrighted already… Bird box😂
