The spinners and pin cushion I didn't make. But what would you think would be a good price for them.

Just gorgeous! I especially love the window! My knees buckle when I see old windows. Not sure about pricing ~ I don't get out much...(sigh.) They're very pretty! What kind of shop are you opening?

Love love the window. I want to do some so bad but have no place to store them. Pricing I have a time with too. A gal I get my sg scraps from says she tries to keep her pricing simple and fair. She figures her materials cost and times that by 3 or 4. She said that difficulty of piece dictates 3 or 4. Originality etc too. Not sure if this is helpful. Only an idea that was given to me.

I've sold pumpkins. gourds and Indian corn for yrs. I quit for 6yrs to help take care of my dad. Last yr I started again. It's been a dream to have a little shop to sell these things in, plus handmade crafts. So far I have handmade quilt tops made by a 91 yr old lady. Baby quilt, the pin cushions, spinners, teacup feeders(which i'm not done with yet)flower arrangments, plus a few other things. I'm just learning and haven't had much time to work on things. Been working on shop and getting produce in. But I'm hopeing next yr to have more things.

What wonderful treasures! I would love to come shopping!!
Really love the teacup with dangles!

Wow! I'd say you have been busy! Love the fall window. What did you use for the window? Surely you didn't paint those scenes?? If you did, you really have been busy after all! Love the hanging teacup feeder too! And all the others! Good luck in your shop! I'd say pricing depends on what materials you have in them times three or four for a price. It also depends on where you are located as to how much the market will bear. Thanks for sharing with us!

Marlene I WISH I could paint like that. It's material. We have been gathing in baskets and baskets of gourds, and many many ears of Indian corn. My pumpkins didn't do as well as I hoped. I was hopeing to do more, but time is ticking. I got old flatware to try the bracelets. I'm making a vinigar cruet with trinkle lights, but everytime I think the hole is big enough, it's not. Still have some things to do with the teacup feeders. I want to add vines to the poles. I got some at the $$ store but half the leaves were missing. I am learning so much from you all. But still dont have the talent you all do. I guess you have to start somewhere....

Laveta, don't ever, ever underestimate your talent, girl!!!!

We are all here to enjoy each others creations, give each other encouragement and just have fun with good friends!
I love your teacup with the crystals, that is very unique, way to go!!!And I'm like lamb, windows make my knees buckle, too!!! I really like the Fall colors you used on it.
On your pricing question, I think someone has already said it, I've always heard to mark it up 3 times your cost plus time invested.
So, good luck, trial and error sometimes has to be the deciding factor in some cases, unfortunately.

Is that your shop in the background pictures, if it is... you are ONE LUCKY GAL!!!
I love that whitewash look on the walls!
Oh, and your corn gave me the neatest idea for a window valance for my kitchen window! So there, see how your creations have inspired me!
Good luck with your sale, let us know how ya do!!

Daisydal thank you! Like I've said before, I wish I could get you all here and give you each your own space to work. Boy would we doit....Yes that is my shop. My DH gave alot for me to have it. I'm truly blessed...We live in a little town, but theres a bigger one about 20 miles away. And In Oct. they are having the Hwy 60 yard sale. 175 miles. I'm only about 1 min. from 60. So maybe pick up alot there. A lady from the big hospital in the next town(Owensboro,Ky) is coming to buy for their pulmanary(sp) baquet(sp)for next month. Then my niece works in the bigger town and the head of the nursing home where she works wants to come and bring some of the ladys from there. So I wish I had more things. It's a bit overwhelming, but I'm glad to...

Lucky you....I want a shop, too! Soon..... we have the skeleton of a barn, we're just lazy and slow, and now waiting out hurricane season.
That's a sweet tea cup with the chain on it,looks like one of my bracelets,lol....and the pincushion one, what a neat idea :) And the fabric for the windows, perfect for us who don't paint too well! I love it all...Good Luck with your new business, you're gonna do great!

Here is another great idea using Indian corn.

"A vintage garden fork gets a second life as a door decoration when outfitted with sturdy ears of dried corn. The corn can be wired onto each tine for easy removal later."

Lamb716 how cute. Thanks you all. Your comments mean alot. I'm going to a big craft fest Tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to see whats big this yr.

Gosh I love the colors of the dried corn. I love that garden fork decorated with the corn, lamb716! How cool!

leveta, I think you are off to a great start! I could really use that cup and saucer hanging on the chain for a birdfeeder! It looks like you will have to some wonderful stuff to sell.

As for pricing ... I would check out other craft stores, craft fairs, etc. in the area to see what they are selling things for. Then you will know if you are being competitive.
