I've got a grape vine I planted last year. I had planted 3, but only one made it.

Well this vine has grown crazy through the summer. It's almost like a bush so I figure I'll need to prune or do something.

So what should I do, should I prune or bundle up the vine and let them go over the winter? When should I prune if I want to take cutting? Can I do some now or should I wait until the grape vine has lost all it's leaves (gone dormant)?

BTW, does anyone know how well grape vines will do around black walnut trees? I'd like to plant more near the back of my property, but there's a row of black walnut trees there. There's wild grapes that grow around them but I've heard wild grapes are very tolerant of the juglone toxin.

Oh... I'll try and get a picture tomorrow. I've got to find my digi camera.. :(
